What Does Not Change the Answer
Price above about $300 buys convenience and capacity, not better lead removal. A more expensive filter is not a safer one once both hold the same certification. And a TDS meter will not tell you whether your filter is working on lead, because lead is present at parts per billion and TDS is measured in parts per million.
